Visited Stearns Lake yesterday evening and this morning. Had some nice birds
this morning, including a yellow-headed blackbird in a mixed flock of
red-wing blackbirds and starlings. Other birds of note included

snowy egret
mature bald eagle flying over
couple of Swainson's hawks in the cottonwood by the parking lot, calling.
One was fairly dark.
Savannah sparrow on the far side of the lake (could have been a song
sparrow, but it looked buffy)
great-tailed grackles

The YH BB was located in the cottonwoods by the cornfield in back of the
dam. The blackbirds were also in the small Russian olives nearby.
