About an hour ago, I saw a BROAD-WINGED HAWK at Meadowlake (off Mallard Drive
in Falcon, east of Colorado Springs. ). It flew north-east towards Eastonville
Road where I tried but did NOT refind it but had a nice "consolation prize" : a
MERLIN near the dam.
There was also a GREAT-HORNED OWL sunning itself, a SONG SPARROW, a few JUNCOS,
GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES, many common ducks at Meadowlake.

In the brush/weed pile in the south-west part of the vacant lot south of
Meadowlake, past the house with the big cinder block fence:
2 GREEN-TAILED TOWHEES
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS
1 SAGE THRASHER
A NORTHERN HARRIER was flying low, and 1 immature, gorgeous RED-TAILED HAWK
was perched on a fence post.
Good birding,
