Today, I made a quick stop at Mcintosh Lake (Longmont) and could not locate the White-winged Scoter but did find a Lond-tailed Duck. After this I decided to attempt to find the White-winged Crossbill at Grandview Cemetary. At about 1:30pm, I was able to locate a very silent pair high up in the firs. Eric Defonso and I watched for about 5 minutes before they flew silently to the southeast part of the cemetary. I have a couple of very distant shots on the site below in the uncommon-to-rare gallery.
