Hi COBirders,

I did a quick look at Big Johnson Resv at noon, since I was already at
the COS airport. Lake is 99% iced over, with a small area open near
the trees on the N shore. There were some waterfowl there, and a few
flying in, but into an area smaller than a football field.

Observed:
75+ Canada Geese
6-8 Cackling Geese
10+ Com Mergansers
20+ Com Goldeneye
and a handfull of mixed Pintails, Mallards, and GW Teal.

In the trees above them were two patient adult Bald Eagles, but no
other raptors that I could see.
