This morning we awoke to about 4 inches of fresh snow, so I decided to see if any rosy-finches were at the Hidden Valley Subdivision. There were approximately 45 Brown-capped and 4 Gray-crowned (3 Hepburn's) Rosy-Finches visiting the usual feeder.
In east Paonia I saw one flock of about 8 Evening Grosbeaks. They have been difficult to find around town this winter. At home this morning the Harris's Sparrow is still around and the Prairie Merlin also. -- Jason Beason Paonia - Delta County
