This sparrow is still at the Trading Post feeder. I saw it today, Saturday, at about 3 pm with other birders. Thanks to Sue Riffe and previous posters. The juvenile Golden-crowned creeps out from the bushes to the feeder area, then gets chased back into the bushes by Spotted-Towhees. This feeder is a good spot to photograph Western Scrub Jays, Spotted Towhees, Dark-eyed Juncos, squirrels, bunnies, and other surprises.
Here are a couple of so-so photos I took of the sparrow—it moves fast and disappears fast: http://www.flickr.com/photos/twilberding/ Here is a map to find the feeder--note blue balloon: http://tiny.cc/AjxMO Address for car navigation is 17900 Trading Post, Morrison, CO 80465 Red Rocks is very picturesque, a sort of rock and roll pilgrimage site. Instead of the Trading Post I suggest construction of a Hard- Rock Café--but keep the bird feeder out back.
