May 15, 2009, across the street from my condo building,in Cherry Creek North,
there was a flycatcher perched up on an antenna, singing  "Fitz- bew " over and
over. Then fly-catching and coming back to the antenna.  Ellie Jones (another
birdwatcher) and I were just getting ready to leave for Dillon/ Silverthorne
forBreeding Bird Block work.  Almost cancelled and stayed home!  However, we
listened to flycatcher songs all te way up to Silverthorne - and concluded it
was, indeed, a Willow.  Visually, with the early morning sun behind it, we
could not see distinctive features.

This morning  (April 17,2010) , parking at the library, two blocks away from my
condo, there was " Fitz- bew " again.  On a wire, then a post I was only
granted a quick look at a flycatcher.  The only mark, before it flew, was a
whitish front.  I went out later and roamed the neighborhood.  Thought I hear
the "Fitz" part a couple of times - without the " bew ".

It is earlier this year, but within reason, I think.  On its way to the
mountains?

I will be out very early tomorrow morning - with my good binocs .  This morning
I sneaked a little pair out of the trunk of my car.  The are 10 power, but the
bird did not cooperate!

This is a bird who checks out the shops in Cherry Creek before it starts its
summer commitment.  At least it doesn't have to worry about the parking!

This is posted for what it is worth with no definite sight verification.   Just
pretty exciting - two years in a row.
