Dear Cobirders,
The Piping Plover was present at Clover Basin from ~3:45 until I left at 4:20. There are a ton of peeps out there including at least one breeding plumage Sanderling and about a billion Black-bellied Plovers and Willets. I excitedly yelled out at Ruddy Turnstone when I first scanned past the Sanderling because of the intense red, so this should be a good field mark since it was obvious even in binoculars. None of the other peeps I saw looked like anything super special, but I'm not an expert on super-exotics like Little Stint, or Spoon-billed Sandpiper &c. The north winds tonight should keep somethings put, but who knows.

Cheers,
Walter Szeliga
