Big day of bird banding at Chico Basin Ranch on Thursday, with 106 birds of 26
species captured and banded, including 11 species of warblers. Thirteen
species were F.O.S. at the station. Highlights included 1 N. Parula, 1 Am.
Redstart, 8 Virginia's Warblers, 1 Nashville Warbler, and 2 Ovenbirds.
Total banded today was 49 of 18 species.
Total for the season so far is 325 of 39 species, with 2 more weeks of banding
to go.
