Yesterday afternoon a Broad-winged Hawk appeared in the Dayton and Kentucky Streets area, near the Highline Canal, for the 4th time in two years. Coincidentally, the first one Frank and I observed here showed up last year on May 8--two days earlier than this year's sighting Last fall one appeared on Oct. 7, and two on Oct. 10. You'll find us in the same place at the same time this October, waiting for more Broad-wingeds!
