I found a female Scarlet Tanager at the Lamar Community College Woods
(Prowers County) during a brief mid-afternoon visit today. It was in the
middle of the grove close to the flooded wetland just northeast of the
Tennis Courts. Warblers were slow, but the immature male American
Redstart continues to sing in the north end of the grove (if you hear
the male Northern Cardinal, you are in the right area).
