This afternoon at McCabe Meadows trail (HWY 83 and Indian Pipelane) I
saw a male Orchard oriole and Eastern Phoebe. They both were just
beyond where you cross the bridge to the northwest from the parking
lot. There is a huge cottonwood tree in front of you by a 20 yards
after crossing the bridge, and to the North, farther down, and on the
same side of the path the next brush area is a remainder of a tree
that's broken and growing towards the ground, and this is where I saw
the Orchard Oriole, and the Phoebe was there, as well as in the huge
cottonwood. The whole area was alive with wrens, flycatchers,
goldfinches, orioles, and hummingbirds at 1pm and I only walked about a
1/2 mile distance towards the north in the time I had.
