We spent a nice week and half at our place in Estes Park, leaving on Saturday, September 4.  We were amazed at the numbers of Calliope Hummingbirds we saw at our feeder.  As the days progressed the Rufous Hummers disappeared, and the Broad-tails declined in numbers, but we seemed to have ever-increasing numbers of Calliopes (females/young males).  Is this unusual?
