Today, I hit a couple of the local areas, desperate for some migrants. This
morning, Belmar Historic Park was very slow, only holding a couple of
Yellow-rumps, 1 Wilson's, and 1 Orange-crowned. The highlight was 3 Roseate
Skimmers ( 2 immature and 1 male) on the northeast side of the the wetland.
When the birding gets this slow at Belmar, at least you can switch over to
dragonflies. This afternoon I had 45 minutes, so I stopped at Welchester Tree
Park and had some nice pockets of migrants. I only made it through a 1/3 of
the park and had:

4 Wilson Warblers
3 Orange-crowned Warblers
Western Tanager
Cassin's Vireo
2 Yellow-rumped Warblers
1 late Yellow Warbler
5 Chipping Sparrows
