Hi Cobirders,

On our final day of fall 2010 banding at Barr, we caught 12 new and 5 recaps:

Downy Woodpecker 1
Brown Creeper 2
Spotted Towhee 3 recaps
Song Sparrow 1
Gambel’s White-crowned Sparrow 4 new, 1 recap
Slate-colored Junco 1 new, 1 recap
Oregon Junco 1 recap
Pink-sided Junco 2
House Sparrow 1

Thanks to the great group of weekend regulars who provided a picnic lunch and
helped get the station down in record time!

Our total individual bird count for the year will be close to 1300 – not a
great year, but far better than last year’s dismal 675. 59 species. I’ll have
season totals by species by the end of the month.

It has been great to see so many of you at the station this fall. Have a great
winter, and we’ll look forward to banding this spring at Chatfield (opening day
is April 25)!
