Several birders in the Steamboat Springs area have called/e-mailed to let me know about large flocks of Bohemian Waxwings. Even up in Steamboat, its not the norm to have such large numbers of Bohemians -- perhaps it will also be a good year for them in the Denver-metropolitan area. I remember a a few years ago we had a "so called" invasion of Bohemians in the region and just wanted to alert birders to look carefully at flocks of waxwings this winter -- especially during Christmas Bird Counts.
