I was finally able to bring myself, my scope, and the female/imm. Black Scoter into alignment this morning at Baseline Res. The bird was in the NE area of the reservoir, up towards the remaining ice, but best visible from the SW corner along Cherryvale Rd when I was scanning at about 10:30. The water has really opened back up over the past couple of days and is now roughly 80% ice free.
