Shortly after spreading seed at a little after 7:15 about 45 Rosy-Finches came
in. Two Brown-capped, two Black and the rest were Gray-crowned, with about ten
Hepburn's among those. When I left about 9:00 there was still one Gray-crowned
feeding intermittently. The Curve-billed Thrasher, Golden-crowned,
White-throated and Harris's Sparrows all made at least one appearance. Oddly,
in my three trips to Red Rocks this year I have not seen, nor heard, a
Townsend's Solitaire.
