Hi All,
Put some seed out this morning and spent from 7:30 to 8:30 A.M. at the
Red Rocks feeders. The White-throated Sparrow was the first to
appear, followed by the Harris's Sparrow. Both were under the lower
apple tree. Later the Curve-billed Thrasher came in and stayed
awhile. The Golden-crowned was the last to appear in the flat area
just south of the upper apple tree. Initially there were 4-5 Gray-
crowned Rosy-Finches including one Hepburn's that hung around most of
the time I was there. Just before 8:30 a flock of 60-75 Rosy-Finches
descended on the area. Most were Gray-crowned with at least 10% Gray-
cheeked(Hepburn's) along with some Brown-capped and a few Black (both
adult & first year). Among all the juncos there was one White-winged.
