COBIRDS --

While I was doing a shift of Bald Eagle watching at Barr Lake SP
yesterday [Feb. 24], I heard what I feel sure was a Red-bellied Woodpecker.
Its 8 or 10 times of churring calls were mixed in with the sounds of blackbirds
but it was still pretty distinctive. Unfortunately it was in an area which was
not visible to me from inside the eagle blind. It had stopped calling by the
time I left the blind an hour or so later. I would be interested to know if
anyone else observes/hears one of these woodpeckers. Later I read the post
that David Leatherman saw a RBWO twice in Lamar this week.
