While walking on the Broomfield Lake Link trail along the southern edge of Rock Creek Farm, I spotted a light-morph juvenile ferruginous hawk circling over the prairie dog colonies. It went to ground at one point but didn't succeed in its hunt. The sun made the light panels on its upperwing and the white on its tail appear very white. There was also a red-tail in the same area.
