Woke up to some Clay-colored Sparrows singing in our field. Took some shots of Burrowing Owls (WCR 33), Swainson's Hawk (really close) pairs on commute. One owl was about six feet from me at dog hole on ground. Had a photogenic Horned Lark that wouldn't move so got a closeup of him, too.
Burrowing Owls have returned to WCR 23/WCR 100 .5m west on north (dog colony)-two stood sentry on fence posts last night-after my Barn Owl search (continue to miss). http://coloradobirder.ning.com/photo (Click "View Largest Size", lower right of photo) Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn http://coloradobirder.ning.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
