Chico Basin Ranch thanks all of the birders who utilize the property. Chico
underwrites most of the expenses of the banding station, including salaries and
education. By paying the birding fee when you visit, your dollars help in
two ways: 1) offsetting the current costs, which helps to ensure continuation
of the banding site for future years, and 2) providing real outdoor
experiences for school kids, which plants the seeds of conservation values.
