Woke up this morning expecting a null yard today since my Green-tailed Towhee has been here a week and the Swainson's Thrush for two days. (Not seen today.) The first thing I saw was the bright colors of a male Western Tanager ( new yard bird) . After observing while making breakfast I counted a total of four Western Tanagers. I decided to head into the back yard with the dog and watch the tanagers chase each other around. Then I spotted a Dusky Flycatcher perched in the honey locust. (Also new yard bird.)
