Taking the garbage out just now, I was pleased to hear a Nighthawk calling in the low cloud ceiling. They make me happy and I find it to be a iconic sound of summer, along with the busily chattering Chimney Swifts and the plaintive Lesser Goldfinches that arrived late last month. enjoy the cool damp evening, Lonny Frye
