Hi all-- Just thought I'd note, as I roam around trying to get fit on a bike for the umpteenth time this year, that there are bobolinks all over the place, often in fields where I've never seen/heard them before. It's wonderful! I guess that this is due to all the moisture. But then I see the farmers mowing already, and the fledglings need until about July 8th to get good legs on them, not to say wings, and even then they need grass islands for shelter. If you know any ranchers, ask if they can wait a bit, and leave a few spots unmowed..
