Bent/Kiowa Counties
--The sub-ad dark morph REDDISH EGRET first reported by Duane Nelson
on August 2 was relocated by Duane Nelson on August 20 at the north
tip of Tern Island in Adobe Creek Reservoir.  On August 24, Nelson reported
that the REDDISH EGRET was again at the north tip of Tern Island.

El Paso County:
--A singing White-eyed Vireo was reported by Drummond close to the
Palmer Lake Reservoir Trail Head Parking Lot on August 23.  It was
along Monument Creek in dense willow carr.  On August 29, Drummond
reported that the White-eyed Vireo is still at Palmer Lake.  The
parking lot is
accessible from Palmer Lake via South Valley Road and the one way Old
Carriage Road.
--2 Green Herons were reported by Jeff Jones at Fountain Creek RP on August 28.

Fremont County:
--A LEAST BITTERN was reported by Rich Miller on August 3 & 4 at the
cattail marsh at Holcim Wetlands.  Miller also reported a Black Phoebe
on August 4.  On August 21, Bill Maynard reported 2 LEAST BITTERNS at
Holcim, a male and female.  Maynard also reported 2 Black Phoebes and
1 Green Heron.  On August 22, Percival reported LEAST BITTERN and 2
Green Herons at Holcim Wetlands.  On August 24, Drummond reported
seeing 4 fly bys of the LEAST BITTERN and a perched view of a female
type bittern and also 2 Black Phoebes at Holcim Wetlands.  On August
27, Teuton reported seeing the LEAST BITTERN fly across the marsh 4 -
5 times at Holcim.  On August 28, Kibbe reported 2 ad LEAST BITTERNS
and 2-3 fledgings at Holcim Wetlands.   On August 29, Moss was able to
photograph one of the fledgings.  On August 30, Moss reported that the
LEAST BITTERNS continue at Holcim Wetlands.

Larimer County:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Wild at Fossil Creek Reservoir on the
west shore with a bunch of gulls on August 30.
--A Probable CAVE SWALLOW was reported by WIld at Timnath Reservoir on
August 30.

Logan County:
--An Eastern Phoebe and Great Crested Flycatcher were reported by Dan
Maynard at Duck Creek SWA  on August 26.
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Kaempfer at North Sterling SP on August 27.
--At Tamarack Ranch on August 27, Kaempfer reported Great Crested
Flycatcher, a pair of Northern Cardinals and Bell's Vireos.

Logan/Sedgwick Counties:
--At Red Lion on August 28, Kaempfer reported Bell's Vireos.
--A Sabine's Gull was reported by Dan Maynard at Jumbo Reservoir on
August 26 and a male Black-and-white Warbler was at the campgound on
the east side.

Phillips County:
--A calling Bell's Vireo was reported by Dan Maynard across the road
from Frenchman Creek SWA on August 26.

Pueblo County:
--A YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was reported by Percival at the east end
of the Osprey Picnic Area in Rock Canyon below Pueblo Reservoir Dam on
August 28.

Washington County:
--A possible YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was reported by Erthal at
Prewitt Inlet Canal on August 25.
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Erthal at the inlet canal
at Prewitt on August 25.
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Erthal in the town of Cope
on August 26.

Weld County:
--A calling ALDER FLYCATCHER was reported by Mlodinow in scrub along
streambed north of Crow Valley Campground on August 28.

Yuma County:
--A Great-crested Flycatcher was reported by Erthal at Bonny Reservoir
on August 26.
--A young RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was reported by Dan Maynard soaring over
Bonny Reservoir on August 27.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, September 3 will be Plants that
Attract Hummingbirds led by Tina Jones (303-906-5479).  Meet the
leader at 0830.  This is a 2 hour field class.  For more information
and to PRE-REGISTER call the leader.  Space is very limited.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, September 4 will be Northeastern
Colorado, Prewitt and Jackson Reservoirs led by Joey Kellner
(303-978-1748).  Meet the leader at 0530 at the Division of Wildlife,
5050 No. Broadway -- Exit I-25 at 58th Ave, go west 1 block to
Broadway, then north 2 blocks to parking lot on right.  Annual SWA
permit (per person) and State Parks Pass required.  This is an all day
trip so bring lunch and plenty of water.  Be sure to bring insect
repellent and sunscreen.  Call leader if going.  Get your SWA permit
