Several visitors have asked lately on COBIRDS about ptarmigan. We had three almost walk across our boots today about 100 feet short of the top of Mount Edwards, which we hiked via the Waldorf Mine/Argentine Pass road. The birds were on the eastern slopes, and still in summer plumage.
