An immature Surf Scoter was in the marina lagoon at Boyd Lake State Park in 
Larimer County (just northeast of Loveland) at dusk. Good news is that it was 
very close to shore at the Mariner Picnic Area (just north of the Marina). No 
telescope needed (yeahhh!). Bad news is that without a state parks pass, entry 
fee is $8, and they patrol constantly. A photo is posted online at
