Chuck Aid, Michael Kiessig, Rob Raker and myself observed the adult Golden-crowned Sparrow this morning at the feeders at the Red Rocks Trading Post. We scattered some seed and waited - the 1st appearance was about 7:25 A.M. and the 2nd appearance around 8:30 A.M.

Later we went to Bear Creek lake park (BCLP) and the highlights off Pelican Point included a Common Loon, two Eared Grebes, two Western Grebes, one female Hooded merganser, and two Ruddy Ducks. Good numbers of Canada Geese, Gadwalls, American Wigeons, Mallards, Buffleheads, and American Coots plus three Green-winged Teal and two Lesser Scaup.
