COBirders,

If you want to practice separating Lesser Canada Goose from Richardson's
Cackling Goose or if you are a photographer who wants to practice with
exposure on white birds, there was an adult Ross's Goose and flocks of both
Lesser Canadas and Cackling Geese at Prospect Lake in Memorial Park in the
center of Colorado Springs on Sunday. At times all of the above were very
close to shore or sometimes overhead when unleashed dogs couldn't resist
temptation.

A Great-tailed Grackle continues at the World Arena pond near Circle Dr. and
I-25, another good spot for waterfowl photography.

The skuas and jaegers field guide by Olsen and Larsson states "pommies go
after the players while Arctic (Parasitic) and Long-tailed skuas (jaegers)
go after the ball."
