Greetings,

Here is a reminder to Colorado listers to submit your 2011 state and
ABA totals to the ABA by January 31, to be published in Birding’s
annual “Big Day Report and List Report,” the magazine that Steve
Martin found in his mailbox to find out how he and his buddies did at
the end of “The Big Year” movie. Here is the link:
http://www.aba.org/bigday/submit.php

Not a member of the ABA? Why not join the fun.

Some of us birders enjoy playing and competing in the listing game. It
has its rules, like any game. Other birders regard the listing game as
ridiculous and unthinkable. To each their own; there’s room for us
all, right?

To play the game in Colorado send your county totals periodically to
the CFO’s Mark Peterson, who updates the county and state lists. Take
a look at the latest list:

Scroll down to see counties, then state totals. Thank you, Mark!

If your list was not so great last year, aim higher for 2012. Compete
against yourself, and/or others.
“Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.” Michael Jordan
“I have been up against tough competition all my life. I wouldn't know
how to get along without it.” Walt Disney

Good birding!
