Hi Cobirders, Went Monday afternoon from 2:30 to 4PM. Clear, temp 67o, wind steady from the west 10 to 15MPH . No land birds seen, all hiding too late , too warm, too windy. I did see the the male Mandarin Duck up on shore with other waterfowl resting out of the wind. It woke up and turned around ran very perky a short distance between two Canadas and when a male Mallard got in the way he pecked it on the back!.

At Prospect Pond there were :
Mandarin Duck 1 fancy male probably same one as all last summer.
        Canada Geese 120+
        Mallard 10
Ring-billed Gull 29 many came out on the park lot
        Northern Shoveler 4
        Gadwall 1
        Lesser Scaup 1
        Common Goldeneye 4 males and 1 f
        Common Coot 5

Tabor Reservoir:
        Common Goldeneye 4 males
Double-crested Cormorant 1 in the water and 7 on nests in tallest tree on island
Great Blue Heron 2 in top of smaller tree on the island.

Both trees had room for many more.

Nice day for exercise!.
