Things continue slow at Chatfield. Here are the totals for Tues and Wed:
Tuesday, 5/15: Least Flycatcher 1 return, banded 5/25/11 House Wren 1 new, 1 banded 5/1/07 Gray Catbird 2 new Yellow Warbler 1 new, 1 banded 5/29/07 Red-winged Blackbird 1 Wednesday, 5/16: House Wren 2 Gray Catbird 6 (the only species that seems to be coming through at about the usual level) Yellow Warbler 1 new, 1 banded 5/27/10 Yellow-breasted Chat 1 banded 5/24/10 Lincoln's Sparrow 1 Mountain White-crowned Sparrow 1 Brown-headed Cowbird 1 (seem to be tons of these around) Red-winged Blackbird 1 American Goldfinch 1 Please NOTE: We will be open only briefly tomorrow (Thurs) at the Nature Center nets only; then CLOSED Friday and Saturday. Open again on Sunday, and then every day, weather permitting, through June 3.
