The Brambling was in the same spot at 2:16 p.m. today.  It comes to feed
very quickly and not for long, and is a very nervous, hard to photograph
bird!  Six different views are on my website above.  I agree that it appears
to be a first year male.  It only feeds for a minute or so.  You don't get a
very long look.  I waited 40 min and it did not reappear and quite a few
bikers were going over the bridge where the seed is, so I gave up!

 

That was the 2nd lifer CO has produced for me: Ross's Gull and Brambling!
