Since fewer and fewer of these wonderful hawks get seen around here (and I'm not the only 1 having that experience), I thought I would report this siting. Actually, I was thrilled when Elena and I were censusing Walden Ponds this morning, found 1 in a tree and watched it fly in the area, and then "perch" again. It was a dark morph, with white streaking on the upper chest.
