I went out to fill my unique suet feeder and when I was about six feet away a
flock of
Bushtits flew in and were scavenging what was left and didn't seem to mind my
presence.
Wish I had my camera. When they left, I filled the feeder and a Downy,
Chickadees and
a Flicker all came within a short time.

My friend made this suet feeder for me which is a tree log about a foot and a
half long and
2 inches around. She drilled about seven holes about the size of a quarter
around it and the
birds empty it every few days but if I put out a cake size in a cage it stays
there forever. The
flock of WW Doves still comes to my platform feeder.
