BOULDER COUNTY:
--On June 5, Norfleet reported that the Boulder Bird Club Wednesday
Roadrunners saw two m Rose-breasted Grosbeaks in Louisville.  One was by
Callahan Open Space and the other near the SW corner of Monarch Court and
Frankline Ave.
--At Boulder Mountain Park on June 2, Tumasonis reported American
Three-toed Woodpecker at Bear Peak fireburn area, Ovenbirds where Bear
Creek intersects the Mesa Trail, and Indigo Bunting about 1 mile into Bear
Creek Canyon Trail.
--On June 2, a Rose-breasted Grosbeak was seen by First Sunday Birders of
Boulder Bird Club, led by Norfleet at Sawhill Ponds in Boulder.
--On June 2, Floyd reported a Cassin's Kingbird at GunBarrel Hill in
Boulder.
--A f Northern Parula was reported by Floyd at Greenlee Preserve in
Lafayette on May 30.  On May 31, Vanderpoel reported a singing subad m
Northern Parula by Waneka Lake near the  trail close to 2 dead Cottonwood
Trees.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--At Castlewood Canyon SP on June 2, Kingery reported 2 singing Ovenbirds.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--On June 3 at Turkey Creek Ranch, Goff report 1 Cassin's Kingbird and 2
Chihuahuhan Ravens.
--On June 2, Hinds reported a Pacific Loon at  Big Jonson near the dirt
parking area.  On June 3, Pals reported the Pacific Loon near the dam.  On
June 5, Kosar reported the Pacific Loon near the dam aat Big Johnson.
--On June 2, Farese reported a Green Heron at Fountain Creek Regional Park.

EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES:
--On June 1, at Chico Basin Ranch Percival reported a singing m
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER in tall Elm Trees at the banding station.  On June 2,
Teuton reported that the GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER was singing and actively
feeding in Elm Trees by the banding station.
--On June 3 at Chico Basin Ranch, Pals reported a Curve-billed Thrasher at
Rose Pond.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A possible Scott's Oriole was reported by Murphy along a riparian area on
the Clear Creek Bike Path W of Harlan on June 2.

KIOWA/BENT COUNTIES:
--At Adobe Creek Reservoir on June 3, Duane Nelson reported Piping and
Snowy Plover and f HUDSONIAN GODWIT.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
On June 2, Morris reported a m Indigo Bunting on CR 105 about halfway
between Hwy 160 and Red Mesa.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--2 m singing Ovenbirds were reported by Leatherman in Rist Canyon on June
5.
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Leatherman on the S edge of
Grandview Cemetery, next to City Park Golf Course on May 31.  On June 1,
Summers found the Yellow-throated Vireo in the SE corner of Grandview
Cemetery singing quite a bit.
--On June 1, Sparks reported an Indigo Bunting at Lee Martinez Park in Fort
Collins.

MESA COUNTY:
--A Least Tern was found by Lee Stigen at Blue Heron Pond in Grand Junction
on May 29.   On May 31, Stigen reported that the Least Tern continues at
the first pond up river from Junior Service League Parking Area near
Redlands and Riverside Parkways.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
--On June 5, Beatty reported a Caspian Tern at Narraguinnep.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
--On May 28, Dexter reported LESSER NIGHTHAWKS in Nucla.  Dexter reported
LESSER NIGHTHAWKS at Nucla Sewer
Ponds on May 29 and a pair of Purple Martins on the power lines.  On May
31, Dexter reported one f LESSER NIGHTHAWK at the Nucla Sewer Ponds.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported by Luger SW of Jackson Reservoir
on CR 2 with Western Kingbirds on June 4.

PHILLIPS COUNTY:
--On June 2, Wild reported a YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON in the bed of
Frenchman's Creek just below the Lion's Fishing Hole in Holyoke and a
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER and GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH in the bed of Frenchman's
Creek near the east end of Akron Street in Holyoke.  THE YELLOW-CROWNED
NIGHT-HERON was seen by Tomky on June 3.
--On June 2, Dowell reported a PHILADELPHIA VIREO in a park on the NE side
of Haxtun.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--On June 2, Pericval reported a singing male Ovenbird at Rock Canyon.

ROUTT COUNTY:
--On June 2, Luke reported 5 Caspian Terns at Steamboat Lake.

SEDGWICK COUNTY:
--On June 2 at Sedgwick Bar SWA, Dowell reported 3 Great-crested
Flycatchers and an Indigo Bunting.

DFO FIELD TRIPS
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, June 8 will be to the Pine/Bailey Areas
(Jefferson County) led by Chris Blakeslee
 (303-694-4670).  Meet the leader on the east side of the RTD Park-n-Ride
lot at S Wadsworth Blvd and Hampden (Hwy 285) at 6:30.  This lot is on the
south side of Hampden and the west side of Wadsworth.  Alternative:  meet
the group at 0700 at Mountain View RTD Park-n- Ride lot adjacent to Hwy 285
in Conifer (1.2 miles past the Kennedy Gulch/Foxton Road turoff on the west
side of highway -- approx 2 1/4 miles past the Aspen Park/Conifer Safeway).
 Bring lunch and water for a fun filled day chasing mountain birds from
Pine Valley Ranch to Wellington Lake and ending with the Bailey Heron
Rookery.  All day trip; bring clothing for changeable mountain weather.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, June 9 will be to Red Rocks Park (Jefferson
County) led by Tom Bush.  Meet the leader at Red Rocks Trading Post at 0730
for a half day of foothills birding.  Bring lunch, water and scopes, if
desired.  This will be a half day trip.  Will end up watching the Trading
Post feeders over lunch.
