I took a walk with my dad this morning, and had a few nice birds between
the Valco Ponds parking lot and the hatchery ponds farther up the river.

38 Species in total. Details at
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S14952432

Highlights include:
* Ladder-backed Woodpecker* -- 1 (not too uncommon, but always a treat to
see one)
* Evening Grosbeak* -- 1 heard & seen; seems early to be down this low?
* Northern Waterthrush* -- 1 along the creek near the parking lot
*   Black Phoebe* -- 2 (1 ad, 1 imm)
*   Eastern Phoebe* -- 1
* Phoebe sp.* -- 1 probably Eastern, but seen briefly at a distance
through brush, and it looked a little darkish. Probably an eastern, but I'm
cautious since hybrids are being found up the river in Fremont Co.

Good birding,
