BENT/KIOWA COUNTIES: --At Adobe Creek Reservoir on November 4, Duane Nelson reported an adult light-phase PARASITIC JAEGER, adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, Thayer's Gull and heard Chestnut-collared and Lapland Longspurs. On November 9 Peterson reported the PARASITIC JAEGER at Adobe Creek Reservoir continues. BOULDER COUNTY: --A juv LITTLE GULL was reported by Mlodinow at Terry Lake on October 30. Terry Lake is on the east side of 95th a couple of miles N of Hwy 66. On October 31, the LITTLE GULL was reported by Sheeter, DeFonso, Vanderpoel, and Nunes. On November 1, Nick Moore reported that the LITTLE GULL continues at Terry Lake. On November 2, Hundertmark and Witt reported the LITTLE GULL continues at Terry Lake. On November 3, the LITTLE GULL was reported by Vanderpoel around 0800 at McIntosh Lake in Longmont and later at Terry Lake by Keirn and Komar. On November 8, Nick Moore reported LITTLE GULL and Pacific Loon at Terry Lake On November 9 Deininger and Sanders reported LITTLE GULL at Terry Lake. On November 10, Deininger reported the LITTLE GULL continues at Terry Lake. --A BAY-BREASTED WARBLER was found by Contreras in Pine Trees at Center Green Drive in Boulder on November 7. On November 8, Roller and m.o.b. observed the BAY-BREASTED WARBLER at Center Green Drive. On November 9, Hundertmark and m.o.b. saw the BAY-BREASTED WARBLER at Center Green Drive. On November 10, Gent and Larson reported that the BAY-BREASTED WARBLER continues at Center Green Drive. On November 11, Schmoker reported that the BAY-BREASTED WARBLER continues at Center Green Drive. On November 12, Sheeter reported that the BAY-BREASTED WARBLER continues at Center Green Drive. The BAY-BREASTED WARBLER was reported by Schottler at Center Green Drive on November 13. The BAY-BREASTED WARBLER was reported by Edwards and Chavez on November 14. --An ad TUNDRA SWAN was reported by Thompson at Walden Ponds in Boulder on November 12. --A White-winged Scoter was reported by Hundertmark at Lagerman Reservoir on November 12. The White-winged Scoter was reported by Severs and others at Lagerman on November 13. Keirn reported the White-winged Scoter at Lagerman in the morning at Lagerman on November 14 but others missed it. The scoter does not seem to stay at Lagerman the whole day. BOULDER/WELD COUNTIES: --On November 14, Dowell found a MEW GULL at Jim Hamm (Boulder) and at sunset it flew to Union Reservoir (Weld). CHAFFEE COUNTY: --20 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Kellner at Ice Pond in Buena Vista on November 10. DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES: --A Pacific Loon was reported by Walbek at Chatfield SP on November 1, by Carver on November 2, and by Walbek on November 5, and by Niyo on November 9. EL PASO COUNTY: --A pair of Long-tailed Ducks were reported by Mark Peterson at Big Johnson on November 2, by Drummond on November 4, by Farese on November 9 and by Taylor on November 10. --A Winter Wren was reported by Farese at Fountain Creek RP near mile marker 18 on November 9 and by Goff on November 11. LAKE COUNTY: --On November 10 at Mount Elbert Forebay, Kellner reported 1 Surf Scoter and 5 Barrow's Goldeneyes. LARIMER COUNTY: --A BRANT was reported by Scott Baron at Equalizer Lake near Loveland on October 25. Equalizer Lake is near I-25 and US 34, west of Medical Center of the Rockies, access is via CR 24. The BRANT was reported by Steadman, Komar, and Miller on October 26. The BRANT was reported by Tracy P and Derek Hill on October 27. On October 28, Minner-Lee reported that the BRANT showed up mid-morning at the SW corner of Houts Reservoir. On October 29, Shenot reported that the Brant was seen on the W side of Houts Reservoir. On October 30, Kogler reported the Brant was see at Houts Reservoir. The BRANT was reported by Griffin and Wade at Houts Reservoir on October 31. The BRANT was reported by Taylor and Bretting on the the W side of Houts Reservoir on November 1. On November 2, Pautsch, Witt, and Mlodinow reported the BRANT at Houts Reservoir. On November 3, the BRANT was reported by Dunning, Mark Miller, and Wilberding at Houts Reservoir. On November 5, Sanders and Prather reported the Brant at Houts Reservoir. On November 7, Tina Jones reported that the BRANT continues at Houts Reservoir. On November 9, Rhodes reported that the BRANT continues at Houts Reservoir. On November 13, Baron reported the BRANT in the SW part of Houts Reservoir. --A Pacific Loon was reported by Shenot at Douglas Reservoir in the NE corner on November 8. A Pacific Loon was reported by Leatherman at the N end of Douglas Reservoir on November 12. The Pacific Loon was reported by Luger at Douglas Reservoir on November 13. --6 ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by Komar on the NW shore of Horseshoe Lake in NE Loveland on November 9 and November 10. --A m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Keirn at the south end of Timnath Reservoir on November 14. MORGAN COUNTY: --A Dunlin was reported by Mlodinow at the outlet channel at Jackson SP on November 13. PARK COUNTY: --At Eleven Mile Reservoir, Kellner reported 4 Surf Scoters on November 10. PUEBLO COUNTY: --On November 9 at Pueblo Reservoir, Percival reported 5 Rusty Blackbirds at Rock Canyon Picnic Area, a Lesser Black-backed Gull at the S Shore Marina. --At Pueblo City Park on November 9, Percival reported a YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER in the NE part of Pueblo CIty Park. --On November 10 at Pueblo City Park, Drummond found a Blackpoll Warbler in the NE part of the park. --On November 10 at Pueblo Reservoir, Percival reported 1 ad Lesser Black-backed Gull. --On November 11 at Pueblo Reservoir, Percival reported 1 juv Thayer's Gull and 2 1-st cyc Lesser Black-backed Gulls. --A Winter Wren was reported by Percival at the footbridge over the Arkansas River from Snakeskin Picnic Area to Rock Canyon Swim Beach pond on November 11. SUMMIT COUNTY: --2 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Kellner at Dillon Reservoir Marina on November 10. WELD COUNTY: --An imm Long-tailed Duck and Thayer's Gull were reported by Mlodinow at Union Reservoir on November 9. --2 Lapland Longspurs were heard overhead by Leatherman at Crow Valley CG on November 12. --A Pacific Loon was reported by Kibbe at Union Reservoir on November 13. --At Windsor Reservoir on November 13, Mlodinow reported 1-st cyc GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL and imm Red-necked Grebe. DFO Field Trips:. The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 16 will be to Denver City Park led by Chuck Hundertmark (303-604-0531). Meet the leader a 0800 at the parking strip SW of 22nd Ave, just north of Ferril Lake. From Colorado Blvd, turn west onto 22nd Ave, and go past the Museum of Nature and Science. Turn left just before the zoo at the sign to the Pavilion Bandstand. Park on the left at the end of the parking area closest to Ferril Lake. We will check Ferril Lake and Duck Lake for early winter water birds. An easy morning walk. Bring water, snacks, and binoculars; scopes optional. Half-day trip. Limit of 10 participants.
