We went to Barr Lake this morning, and as the frosty morning fog lifted, we
followed Chuck Hundertmark's great directions on the trail below the dam.
The fog cleared, and we found a male Rusty Blackbird perched up over the
ditch below Barr Lake dam. This bird was just west of the dirt bridge
between blinds 6&7, and spent much of his time feeding in the bright green
foliage adjacent to the ditch. As we continued eastward on the path, just
east of blind #4,and slightly beyond two grand cottonwoods (which are on
the right), 3 more Rusty Blackbirds (2 male one female) were turning over
waterlogged leaves in the branch of the ditch that is closest to the dam,
and "talking amongst themselves".

Thanks for pointing these beauties out, Chuck and Mark!
