A few first of the year birds in the Canon City area:

   - Western Kingbird on power lines next to H115
   - House Wrens-two singing their hearts out in Holcim Wetlands
   - Green Heron in Florence River Park (seen yesterday and today)

Also watched a large flock of White-throated Swifts stopping over during
migration for feeding over Holcim Wetlands this time.

Still have about 25 White-faced Ibis in Florence in flooded agricultural
fields but now difficult to observe so don't know if the Glossy is still
there.

Other phoebes are starting to settle down but will report separately on them

Still have a Lincoln's Sparrow feeding under my thistle feeders but have
only seen it a couple of times as it is such a skulker. It did bath in
bird bath yesterday.

I got photos and video of some of the above. I have uploaded a close-up
photo of one of the House Wrens onto my Birds and Nature
blog<http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/>and will add more later
tonight.
