COBirders,

Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs was very birdy this morning, particularly 
down by the community gardens at 21st.

Summer Tanager (young male; green secondaries/tertials) at park HQ grove (21st 
St.) hanging out at bee hive (latter is in a cavity in downed tree parallel to 
creek about 40 ft south of the sand volleyball court).

Black and white Warbler - found last Sat by Linda Hodges, and still along creek 
east of gardens (listen for high song).

Hundreds of sparrows (mostly Chipping but also Clay-colored (4-5 min), Brewers 
(1), Lark, 6 catbirds, many empids, warbs, thrushes..

THIS SATURDAY: spring bird count at Bear Creek Park. Meet at 7:00  PM at Bear 
Creek Park Nature Center.
