ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--A singing m White-eyed Vireo was found by O'Connor in a thicket near big
Dry Creek Trail on Jun 3 at 0700 and refound by Roller around 1500.

ARCHULETA COUNTY:
--At Navajo SP on June 7, Mlodinow reported White-eyed Vireo and Cassin's
Kingbird.

BENT COUNTY:
--A f COMMON GROUND DOVE and imm LAUGHING GULL were reported by Duane
Nelson on the S side of dam of John Martin Reservoir on June 7.  The gull
has been seen at species endangered species closure around the reservoir.
 For the ground dove go to the south side of dam, pass the kiosks by the
entrance.  Turn left immediately after entering the wildlife area, drive
1.5 miles west.  Duane place orange flagging on sunflower stalk on both
sides of the road where it was
found.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--A Black and Eastern Phoebe were reported by Gent at the 75th St Bridge
over Boulder Creek on May 31.  On June 1, Steadman reported both phoebes
continue catching insects at west side of 75th St Bridge.  One June 2,
Sanders reported the Black Phoebe on the north side of Boulder Creek at
75th.   On June 3, Siebert reported that the Black Phoebe continues at 75th
on the west side of the bridge.  On June 4, Starace reported Black Phoebe,
Eastern Phoebe, and Indigo  Bunting near 75th and Boulder Creek.  On June
7, Gent reported Black and Eastern Phoebe on the west side of the 75th St.
Bridge.

DELTA COUNTY:
--A Great-tailed Grackle was reported by Garrison at Fruitgrower's
Reservoir on June 2 along the causeway.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--4 Ovenbirds were heard by Andrews from lower slope east of Cherry Creek
from Homestead Trailhead S for about 1 mile at Castlewood Canyon SP on June
2.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--A singing m Indigo Bunting was reported by Barnes at Cheyenne Mountain SP
on June 7.

JACKSON COUNTY:
--2 Red-necked Grebes were reported by Wright at Lake John on May 29.  On
June 1, Moulton reported a pair of Red-necked Grebes carrying nesting
material on Lake John.  On June 4, Hundertmark reported that the Red-necked
Grebes
continue nest building on Lake John.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A Blue-winged Warbler was reported by Jones at Welchester Tree Grant Park
on May 22.  On May 23, Shade reported that the Blue-winged Warbler
continued at Welchester and it was seen by many other birders. On May 24,
Willis reported that the Blue-winged Warbler continues at Welchester.  On
May 25, Schmidt reported the  Blue-winged Warbler at Welchester Tree Park
in mid-afternoon.  On May 26, Edwards reported that the Blue-winged Warbler
was singing at Welchester and the birds was seen my many birders on May 26.
 On May 27, Roller reported that the Blue-winged Warbler continues at
Welchester Tree Park.  On May 28, Brower reported that the Blue-winged
Warbler continues at Welchester Tree Park.  No one has reported the
Blue-winged Warbler to CoBirds recently but it has been reported on e-Bird
the past three days.  On June 1, Gent reported that the Blue-winged Warbler
showed briefly at the east end but did not sing and Hopping reported that
the Blue-winged Warbler did sing on June 1.  The Blue-winged Warbler was
reported on e-bird on June 7.
--An ad Little Blue Heron was photographed by Christiansen at Belmar on
June 2.
--An ACORN WOODPECKER was reported Langel at Cheesman Reservoir with
Red-headed Woodpeckers on June 7.  Directions:  area just north of Cheesman
-- Forest Road 211 from Wigwam Creek to turnoff to Cheesman at top of hill,
then west of FR 560 (Stoney Pass Road).

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
--Great-tailed Grackles were reported by Garrison in the marsh to the NW of
the intersections of CR 27 and H, south of Nielson's Pond SE of Cortez on
June 1.
--A calling pair of LEAST BITTERN was reported by Nick Moore at Denny Lake
Park in Cortez on June 5.
--In Yellowjacket Canyon on June 5, Mlodinow reported Lucy's Warbler and
Summer Tanager.
--A Scott's Oriole was reported by Mlodinow in Lower McElmo Canyon a couple
of mile E of turnoff for Yellowjacket on June 5.
--3 LESSER NIGHTHAWKS (2f, 1m) were reported by Mlodinow at Totten
Reservoir on June 5.  Best seen from dike on W side.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
--A LESSER NIGHTHAWK and Least Tern were reported by Dexter 1 mile west of
Nucla on a farm pond on May 26. The LESSER NIGHTHAWK was seen again the
evening of May 28 by the farm pond.  On May 29 De Fonso reported that the
LESSER NIGHTHAWK was seen again by ag ponds along 5th Ave W of town.  On
June 3 Dexter reported 2+ LESSER NIGHTHAWKS W of Nucla.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--A Golden-winged Warbler was reported by Hurtado at Lamar Community
College Woods on June 6.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A singing WOOD THRUSH was reported by Silverman on June 2 in Colorado
City on South Parkway between Meadow Creek and Garden State Ave about 2
miles W of I-25 exit 74 and just S of Co 165.  On June 4, Remsen reported
the singing WOOD THRUSH on South Parkway. Turn S on South Parkway crossing
Greenhorn Creek, park at swimming pool and walk short distance S to see and
hear the thrush.

DFO Field Trips:
The DFO field trip for Sunday, June 8 will be to Fairmount
Cemetery/Highline Canal led by A. J. Gest 303-994-2420 or offsetaj AT
comcast.net.  Limit 16 people.  Preregister with leader.  Meet the leader
at 0730 at Fairmount Cemetery.  Use the Quebec St entrance (west side).
 Address is 403 S. Quebec St., Denver.  Will be in the parking lot near the
Chapel in the Pines.  This will be a easy 1.5 to 2 mile walk on paved drive
and pathways.  Bring water, binocs, hat, and sunscreen; scopes are
optional.  Restrooms are available in the Masuoleum after 0900.  Trip
should end about 1100 to 1130.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, June 8 will be to Cherry Creek Wetlands Loop
led by Karen von Saltza, cell 303-941-4881.  This is a regularly conducted
field trip the 2nd Sunday of each month.  Meet leader at 0800 at the
Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek SP.  State Parks pass or day pass
required.  This is a half day of walking that passes through most of the
important habitats found in the park over a distance of about 3 miles.
 Trails could be slippery or muddy, so dress accordingly.  Bring water and
snacks; Lunch is optional.  Beginning birders are welcome.  No registration
required. Co-sponsored by Denver Audubon.
