This morning at Holcim I had a single look at a Least Bittern as it flew
by me along the south shore of the marsh. Later I heard a LEBI cooing a few
times. Same one I suppose.

Bad news at the wetlands! The flooded Arkansas River has eroded away a
large piece of its bank at the northeast corner and is within a few feet of
breaking into the marsh. If this happens the containment of the marsh will
be lost and it will probably drain out when the river level subsides. I
hope I'm wrong.
