At 8:30 am today we were driving north on Monaco Blvd near 26th Avenue and saw 4 sandhill cranes flying in a "half-V" formation to the south. Could not hear them from inside the car. We did not believe it until we checked eBird and found sightings yesterday at Lower Latham as well as a post on CO birds today from the San Luis Valley that some arrived this weekend. It is early, since most sightings on eBird are after mid-September.
