Chris Knight and I birded our way from Rocky Ford to Lamar today. We had 103 species of birds. 14 species of shorebirds during the day. Best birds: Northern Parula at Hasty Campground; Sabine's Gull - juvenile at John Martin Res., Bent Co.; White-throated Sparrow at Melody Tempel Grove; Bent Co.; Harris's Sparrow at Lamar C.C. Grove, Prowers. A few mountain birds too. Two Western Scrub-Jays at Fort Lyon W.E., Bent Co. I'll post more things tomorrow from home.
