Around 12:30 this afternoon, I found the Lewis' Woodpecker reported by David
Waltman on 3/7 and 4/9. It was on a utility pole between two green sheds about
100 yds east of the road at 8922 N 39th. After a couple of minutes, it flew to
the backyard of house directly south. I spent another 20 minutes looking, but
did not see it again. No evidence of a mate either.
Thanks to David for his detailed reports.
