ADAMS COUNTY:
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Gregg Goodrich and Anna Troth
at the boat ramp at Barr Lake SP on November 1.
On November 4, Adam Vesely reported Lesser Black-backed Gull at Barr Lake
SP.
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by John Breitsch at Rocky Mt Arsenal NWR SW
of Lake Ladora on November 2.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--A Surf Scoter was reported by Hugh Kingery at S Platte Reservoir in South
Platte Park on October 24.  On October 25, Jim Schmoker, Scott Manwaring,
and Tom Behnfield reported Scurf Scoter at South Platte Reservoir.  On
October 27, Mindy Musick King reported Surf Scoter at South Platte
Reservoir.  On November 1, Doug Kibbe reported 2 Surf Scoters at South
Platte Reservoir.
--A Bay-breasted Warbler was reported by Scott Manwaring at Cherry Creek Sp
on the East Lake Loop on October 31.
--A Common Redpoll was reported by Jamie Simo on the Lake Loop at Cherry
Creek SP on November 1.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Glenn Walbek at Cherry Creek SP on
November 1.
--On November 8, Chirs Rurik reported 2 scoters at Cherry Creek SP, one of
which was black.  Later Glenn Walbek  and Bob Righter reported two Black
Scoters (ad f, 1st yr m) and a Pacific Loon at Cherry Creek SP.  On
November 9, Doug Kibbe reported Black Scoters and Pacific Loon at Cherry
Creek SP.  On November 10, Tom Behnfield reported Pacific Loon and 3 Surf
Scoters at Cherry Creek SP.

BACA COUNTY:
--At Two Buttes on November 7, Mark Peterson reported Red-bellied
Woodpecker and 2 Winter Wrens.

BENT COUNTY:
--On October 18, Duane Nelson reports that he has visiting Red-bellied
Woodpecker, Canyon Towhee, Harris's Sparrow, and Curve-billed Thrasher at
his yard in Las Animas.  Birders are welcome if you notify Duane first.

--A Bay-breasted Warbler was reported by Mark Peterson at Hasty Campground
on November 8.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--On October 25, David Dowell found Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm
and Ted Floyd reported at Lesser Black-backed Gull flying overhead.  On
October 27, Eva Matthews reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm.
On November 1, Peter Burke reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm.
--On October 27, John Vanderpoel reported Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.
The loon was seen by many birders on October 27.
On October 28, Red-throated Loon was reported by Steve Mlodinow, Boulder
Bird Club, Todd Deiniger, Jesse Casias, and Bill Kaempfer.  On October 29,
Tom Behnfield reported Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.  On October 31,
Carl Starace and m.ob. reported Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.  On
November 1, Tina Jones, Bob Spencer, Lee Farrell, and Kevin Keirn reported
Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.  On November 2, Adam Vesely reported
Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.  On November 3, David Wade and Georgia
Doyle reported Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.  On November 4, Irene
Fortune and Scott Somershoe reported Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.  On
November 7, Carl Bendorf reported Red-throated Loon at Terry Lake.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Joey Kellner and m.ob. near marina
sandspit on October 31
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Cynthia Madsen near the Heron Overlook
at Chatfield on November 3.
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Joey Kellner on November 6.
--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Glenn Walbek from the Handicapped
Fisherman's Platform on November 7.

EAGLE COUNTY:
--4 Barrow's Goldeneyes (3m, 1f)  were reported by Leon Thurmon at
Springpark Reservoir on November 8.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--On October 29, John Drummond reported f-type Black Scoter at Big Johnson.
--2 Field Sparrows were reported by Jesse and Renee Casias on  Bar 10 Road
on November 8.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A Great Crested Flycatcher was reported by Cynthia Madsen, Janet Shin,
Jonelle Balais at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on October 29.  The
Great Crested has morphed into a BROWN CRESTED FLYCATCHER from the photos.

--On October 31, Mark Chavez reported Red-necked Grebe at Chatfield Swim
Beach.  On November 1, Dean Shoup reported Red-necked Grebe at Chatfield
Swim Beach.  On November 3, Chris Rurik reported Red-necked Grebe near the
Swim Beach at Chatfield.  On November 7, Bill Schmoker reported Red-necked
Grebe from Swim Beach at Chatfield and Bob Spencer reported Red-necked
Grebe on Jefferson county side of Chatfield.  On November 8, Norm Lewis
reported 1 Red-necked Grebe near Swim Beach at Chatfield.  On November 8
from the Heronry Overlook Dick Schottler reported 3 Red-necked Grebes.  On
November 9, Joey Kellner reported 3 Red-necked Grebes (2 ad, 1 imm) near
the Swim Beach at Chatfield.  On November 10, Phil Lyon reported 3
Red-necked Grebes at Chatfield.
--On November 3, Chris Rurik reported 2 Surf Scoter on the Jefferson County
portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 5, Doug Kibbe reported 1
Surf Scoter on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On
November 7, Steve Stachowiak reported 1 Surf Scoters on the Jefferson
County portion of South Platte Reservoir.  On November 8, Norm Lewis and
Scott Somershoe reported 2 Surf Scoters on the Jefferson County portion of
South Platte Reservoir.  On November 9, Phil Lyon and John Vanderpoel
reported 2 Surf Scoter on the Jefferson County portion of South Platte
Reservoir.
--On November 4, Mark Chavez reported 2 Surf Scoters at Pelican Point at
Bear Creek Lake Park.
--On November 4, Doug Kibbe reported American Three-toed Woodpecker at
South Fork Deer Creek.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Dunlin was reported by Andy Bankert, Nick Komar, Sean Walters and Tom
Behfield at Timnath Reservoir on October 25.  On October 26, Sue Riffe and
Georgia Doyle reported Dunlin at Timnath Reservoir.  On November 1, Andy
Bankert and John Shenot reported Dunlin at Timnath Reservoir.  On November
2, Kevin Keirn reprted Dunlin at Timnath Reservoir.
--A Common Redpoll was reported by Irene Fortune at Matthews-Reeser Bird
Sanctuary at Lake Estes on October 29 and 30.  On October 31, Scott
Manwaring reported 3 Common Redpolls and Mark Miller, Karen Goetz, and Matt
Clark reported 6 Common Redpolls at Matthews-Reeser Bird Sanctuary at Estes
Park.  Miller reported that the redpolls were feeding on Willow Catkins.
On November 1, Tom Behnfield reported Common Redpoll at Matthews-Reeser
Bird Sanctuary at Estes Park and Kevin Keirn reported 4 Common Redpolls.
On November 2, Adam Vesely reported 3 Red Polls at Matthews-Reeser Bird
Sancutary.
On November 7, Scott Rashid reported Common Redpolls at Night Heron Pond at
Lake Estes.
--2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by Andy Bankert at Timnath
Reservoir on November 1.
--On November 5, Loch Kilpatrick reported Pine Warbler at Matthews-Reeser
Bird Sanctuary at Estes Park.
--On November 5, Irene Fortune reported 1 ad Thayer's Gull and 1 Lesser
Black-backed Gull at Lake Loveland.
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by Dave Leatherman at Matthews-Reeser Bird
Sanctuary at Estes Park on November 6.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
--A Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by Glenn Walbek near Arriba on CR
41 on October 28.

MESA COUNTY:
--A juv Surf Scoter was reported by Coen Dexter at Whitewater Lakes in the
lake on the west side of road on November 6.

MOFFAT COUNTY:
--On October 30 Forrest Luke reported 13 (11ad, 2 juv) Tundra Swans at WFMC
Ponds S of Craig and on November 2, Forrest reported 5 ad Tundra Swans at
WFMC Ponds.

OTERO COUNTY:
--A Long-tailed Duck was reported by Mark Peterson at Lake Cheraw on
November 8.

OURAY COUNTY:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Kent Nelson at Ridgway Reservoir on
November 9.

PARK COUNTY:
--On November 1, Joey Kellner reported 1 Surf Scoter at Eleven Mile
Reservoir and 1 Surf Scoter and 1 Black Scoter at Spinney Mountain
Reservoir.
--On November 9 at Eleven Mile Reservoir, David Suddjian reported
Red-necked Grebe and 1 m Barrow's Goldeneye.
--8 Brown-capped Rosy-Finches were reported by David Suddjian in Jefferson
on November 9.
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by David Suddjian at the
intersection of CR 22 and CR 98 on November 9.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--On November 7, Barbara Lockhard found a f-type Surf Scoter on Anticline
Pond in Rock Canyon below Pueblo Reservoir Dam and Brandon Percival found a
f-type Surf Scoter in the SE corner of Pueblo Reservoir.

ROUTT COUNTY:
--42 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Bill Kaempfer at Lake Catamount
on October 31.

SUMMIT COUNTY:
--4 Barrow's Goldeneyes (2m, 2f) were reported by Chris Goulart on a pond
near the Blue River in the Silverthorn area on November 8.

WELD COUNTY:
--On November 3 at Crow Valley CG, Dave Leatherman reported Red-bellied
Woodpecker and Lapland Longspur.  On November 4, Kevin Keirn Reported
Red-bellied Woodpecker and Black-throated Green Warbler at Crow Valley CG.
--On November 4, Kevin Keirn reported 100+ Lapland Longspurs on CR 105 a
few miles S of Hwy 14.
--On November 7, Carl Bendorf reported Red-necked Grebe at Union
Reservoir.  On November 8, Mark Duchesne reported Red-necked Grebe at Union
Reservoir.  Tina Jones reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir seen
from CR 26 (north side) on November 8.  On November 9, Steve Mlodinow
reported Red-necked Grebe at Union Reservoir.
--On November 8, Mark Chavez reported White-eyed Vireo and Red-bellied
Woodpecker at Crow Valley CG.  On November 9 at Crow Valley CG, Dave
Leatherman reported White-eyed Vireo and Red-bellied Woodpecker.

DFO Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 14 will be to South Platte Park
and Carson Nature Center led by Bob Shade (wrshade3 AT gmail.com;
303-975-2476).  Meet at 0730 at  the parking area off C-470.  Take C-70
west from Santa Fe to South Platte Canyon Road, turn sharp right onto
Viable Road leading to parking area.  Park at the lot at the end of the
road near the road.  Bring water, binoculars, and a scope if you have one.
Lunch is optional.  Register online or contact leader.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, November 15 will be to Prospect Park (Wheat
Ridge Greenbelt) led by Kevin Corwin (kevygudguy AT aol.com; 720-482-8454).
Meet just inside the park at the lot next to Prospect Lake at 0800.
    Directions:   From I-70 exit 267, take Kipling south about 3/4 mile and
turn right (west) on 44th Ave.  Go one mile west.  Look for entrance to
Prospect Park on you left (south).
    This is a half-day trip around the lakes.  Bring snacks and water.
Keep an eye on the weather forecast the dress approrpiately.  Register
online or contact leader.
