I walked this morning east of 25th Avenue along the Poudre Trail in Greeley and spotted an owl's nest with 2 owlets in the nest and what looked like a Great Horned owl nearby. This location is about 50 yards east of marker 18.0 along the Trail (about a half mile east of 25th Avenue), then look north across the river and across the road on the top of the bank of the River to the bank of the lake. It is in the cottonwood tree just beyond the back of a 30' camp trailer parked there, and in the right hand trunk about 2/3rds up the tree. It was too gray of a day to take a picture into the shadows. As a side note, there were common mergansers on the lake and a flycatcher along the path 100 yards west of this location. I did not have time to determine which flycatcher it was. Rick Reeser, Greeley
